Our
Story
Est. 23-24
Welcome to the Wrenshall Supply Co.
Wrenshall established a CTE (Career Technology Education) program. Teaming up with the Industrial Arts Shop program, the students learn and collaborate how to operate a business.

-
Students learn aspects of entrepreneurship.
-
Students apply their knowledge in running a business.
-
Students continue to create and produce products using existing equipment.
-
Students market and sell products and use revenue to maintain the operations of the business.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the business students organized and created a business plan to present to potential investors to get a school snack and drink shop up and running. They presented their slide presentation to a group of staff members and offered a 1% return on their investment. Thankfully, the investors became donors and kindly provided funds with expectations of a return.
For their presentation, the students researched MDE approved products, conducted market research surveys with school students on various soft drink flavors, and put all the data together. The students used the data to find the best deals to purchase selected items and establish a pricing point. The final touch was to come up with a name: Wrenshall Supply Co. was chosen.
The Graphic Design/Marketing Class worked on multiple designs for the business's logo and the business students decided on one.
Once they had their product, they organized store hours and who and when would run the operation. They used formulas in Google Sheets to track inventory and sales.
The 2nd year of operation started in the 2024-2025 school year with a new batch of business students. They used the foundation started last year to build on. With grants awarded, the school received new computers to run software and 3D Printers to test out.
-
Students continued with the previous products, but added a few more such as packs of gum.
-
Taking from what they learned in their shop classes, they began to create products such as coasters, signs, and cutting boards using laser engraving. They are in the process of learning CNC Routing and 3D Model printing in which they plan on creating fishing lures to take orders and sell online.
-
Students worked with the Wrenshall Communications & Design team to create a site for Wrenshall Supply Co.
-
With nonfood items, students worked with Wrenshall's Business Administrator to set up an account to track sales tax.
As new students enter, the goal is to create more innovative products the classes can possibly mass produce and sell. The potential is only limited to their imagination and motivation to move forward.
A big thank you goes out to Northeast Service Cooperative and Perkins.
